Paid Search Marketing

Pay per click (PPC) advertising is advertising on search engines where you pay for every click that your ad receives. Every time your ad receives a click, a visitor comes to your website. How you get that click is by bidding on targeted keywords.

You decide what the max amount is that you are willing to spend per click and set your max bid. You often do not actually pay that per click, but you pay an average click price – depending on several factors – competition, relevancy, historical click through performance, match type, etc.

How much does it cost?

That’s up to you! With PPC advertising, you are able to set budgets that you are comfortable with – $5 per day, or $5,000 per day – it’s up to you. While you do not know the EXACT cost you will pay per click, you are in control of setting the MAX that you are willing to pay. Average cost per clicks (CPCs) range anywhere from mere pennies for Branded terms, to upwards of $50.00+ per click for terms within the Insurance vertical – a term like “auto insurance price quotes”, for example.

I’m a local business, is PPC advertising worth it to me?

YES! Absolutely. One other piece of PPC advertising is called geo-targeting. For example, let’s say that Effective Edge Media is a local business that only serves clients in Northern New Jersey. If we were, to keep things local, we would create campaigns that would only show our ads to users that are actually in Northern New Jersey. We would create campaigns that are targeted directly at your target area.

I’m a non-profit organization, can I drive traffic to my site via PPC Marketing?

Absolutely! And, if you aren’t already, you should be applying for a Google Grants account. Google takes applications from 501c organizations and, if approved, you could be eligible for up to $10,000 a month in Google Grants advertising. Once you have ran a Google Grants account, and you meet other criteria, you may be able to apply for a Google Grantspro account. If approved, you may be eligible for $40,000 per month in Google Grants funding. Effective Edge Media has experience with these accounts – as they do have special restrictions.

How do I know if it’s working?

Are you looking to track website Sales/Sign Ups?

Everything is trackable! You do not need a high tech website CRM to track results. The beauty of the Tier 1 search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) is that they all have their own conversion tracking. With placing one little piece of code on your thank you page, you’re good to go to track results! (Don’t worry, we will set it all up for you and give you step by step instructions!)

Are you looking to track phone calls?

We can do that too. Whether you want to track calls via Google’s bid-to-call, or you would like us to employ a third party call tracking service, we can make it all happen, down to the keyword level. You can know what Campaign, Ad Group and keyword drove the calls.

Are you looking to measure off line impact such as in store visits?

We have ways of doing that as well! Of course, this isn’t an exact science by any means, but tying together online efforts to off line results is something Effective Edge Media has been doing for years. From coupon codes to “mention this offer”, we have seen off line results driven by online efforts time after time. Let us do it for you, too!

How long does it take to get started?

Depending on the complexity and size of the campaign you are looking to run, we can get you up and running in no time flat! If you are looking for a small, geo targeted campaign with only a few keywords, you can get that live in just a few hours.

Can Effective Edge Media do this for my business?

Absolutely! Contact us today for more information.
